Beautiful Dignity

Enhancing well-being one facial at a time

Research suggests that external beauty is correlated with enhanced self-esteem, intellect, social and economic success (Kanazawa & Kovar, 2004). External beauty involves looking healthy, which is primarily achieved by healthy skin (smooth, blemish free, even color, glowing, wrinkle free).

Skin health and beauty is vital in forming a positive first impression in our society and culture whether it be during a job interview or greeting a stranger. However, achieving healthy skin often takes a financial commitment to purchase product or treatments, which low income women lack. The important psychological benefits related to feeling pampered once in a while is also out of the reach.

To help, DermNurse has developed a program which offers free facials to low income women in collaboration with the Mustard Seed- an organization which supports adults experiencing poverty and homelessness. Once per month, licensed staff at DermNurse offer free facials to women of this demographic in efforts to promote the feeling of wellbeing, self-esteem, and skin health.

DermNurse supplies all facial products for this program, which are Health Canada approved. Our technicians on site are certified and pre-screened with criminal record checks.

*We also offer compassionate microblading services for those women who have lost their eyebrows due to chemotherapy treatments once per month to selected candidates.

Please contact us if you have any questions about this beautiful program.

We accept refferals

If you know of someone who could really use a facial to lift spirits, foster self-care  and self-esteem but can not afford it due to falling on tough times, then please let us know. Our program covers those types of situations.
