COVID 19 VIRUS

In light of growing concerns about the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we’re committed to taking steps to keep our clients, staff, and community safe and healthy.

What we’re doing:

  • We temporarily closed the clinic until further notice to help reduce the spread of Covid 19.
  • Before we closed, we increased the disinfection frequency of our high contact areas such as counters, phones, pens, equipment, interact machine, clip boards, shared areas, and handles at the beginning and the end of each clinic day.
  • We had our clinic commercially cleaned weekly - as always.
  • We had added more hand sanitizing materials for client use throughout our clinic.
  • We increased communicating best hygiene practices to our team.
  • We tried not overlap appointments and had them spaced to allow for adequate cleaning between appointments.
  • We have removed all disposable cups and product samples from our shelves to reduce the chances of cross-contamination.
  • We created a Covid 19 screening tool to assess clients before their appointment bookings.

What we’re asking of you:

  • Please try to be patient with social distancing and isolation. We are all in this together.
  • Please be aware that this is not just an older persons disease. There are people ages 20-55 who are susceptible to the negative and lethal effects of the virus.
  • Please be aware that the virus can live on our clothes and hair for many days.
  • Let us know if you have been exposed to someone who has been tested positive for COVID-19 or have travelled to a high risk area after visiting the clinic.
  •  Common Covid 19 symptoms include runny nose, headache, cough, fever, but could also include chills, and body aches.
  • According to Health Canada, if you have COVID 19 symptoms (non-severe), you need to self isolate from others as quickly as possible. Then call Health Link by calling 811 for further instructions. If you have severe symptoms which include shortness of breath call 911.
  • Minimize person-to-person contact. For example, hand shaking should be avoided.
  • Wash your hands well with soap for at least 30 seconds, especially after coughing, blowing your nose, handling cash, handling your cell phone, or using the rest room.
  • Cough into a tissue, your shirt, or the crease of your elbow.
  • Avoid touching your mouth, nose, or eyes with your unwashed hands. These are common entry points for respiratory viruses.
  • Disinfect your cellphone daily.
  • If you are immunocompromised, have chronic health challenges or are over the age of 65 we strongly recommend that you stay away from public areas as much as possible.
