After Care Instructions for Microblading

After Care Do's

  • Apply a thin layer of aftercare cream or ointment (2X a day) with a clean Q-tip. Use until there’s no cream left. This will protect & shield the brows and deliver hydration into the skin thereby helping with the healing process.
  • For the first 24/hrs there should be no water in contact with the brows!
  • Apply a thin layer of Vaseline before every shower/intense sweating or working out/Face Washing, for the first week (after first 24 hours)
  • For the first two weeks, please ensure that your showers are kept at a luke-warm temperature, as the steam will negatively impact the retention of the pigment in the skin)
  • Keep brows clean by washing them each night with a very gentle, hypoallergenic soap as recommended by DermNurse.*Pat dry with clean cloth only* Follow with After Care Cream
  • Use a clean pillow case to avoid infection.
  • Keep your phone away from brows while speaking on the phone. They harvest so much bacteria and can put you at risk for infection.
  • Avoid direct sunlight. Wear hats, or big sunglasses to shield brows from the harsh UV rays of the sun.

KEEPING BROWS CLEAN:

  • Keep brows clean by washing them each night with a very gentle, hypoallergenic soap (You could use Cetaphil, for example) *Pat dry with clean cloth only* Follow with After Care Cream
  • Change your pillow case after first getting eyebrows done, because lord knows how dirty our pillow cases get!
  • Keep your phone away from brows while speaking on the phone. They harvest so much bacteria and can put you at risk for infection.

Do Not:

  • Do not put any products on your eyebrows unless it’s the after- care cream provided. This includes, Makeup, sunscreen, face masks etc…any of these can trigger a nasty reaction
  • Slight scabbing is to be expected. Please do NOT pick at the scabs as this will increase risk for scarring and infection.
  • Avoid any type of AHA/BHA acid, enzyme, or retinol since these products WILL negatively impact your skins ability to retain pigment. Examples: Glycolic, Lactic, Citric, Malic, Enzymatic, Salicylic, Vitamin C, Vitamin A. (You may continue using these ingredients after 3 weeks post microblading)

What To Expect Post Treatment:

Colour fade: After the initial treatment, the pigment is so fresh in the skin that the colour will appear intensely dark. As the skin goes through its natural cellular turnover and healing process, expect the intensity of the colour to fade drastically. This is to be expected and the reason why touch-ups in 30+ days are mandatory!
Slight scabbing is to be expected
